Like/Dislike text added to end of generated excerpt

On my site, the plugin is inserting the text from the Like/Dislike section of the post at the end of the post excerpt.

This seems to happen particularly to posts with short or no text, and no manual excerpt (i.e. posts where the whole of the post text appears in the generated excerpt). It happens regardless of whether the ‘Load buttons for post excerpt’ option is set or not.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how it can be fixed?

We’re on WP 4.9.4 using the Momentous Lite theme (https://en-gb.wordpress.org/themes/momentous-lite/).

I’ve disabled all other plugins and the problem still remains.

Yes, you are right. For those posts having short content, can you please add the same short content in excerpt as well. This will fix the problem. In the mean time, we are looking for any functionality which we can include to take care of this automatically.
